I am grateful to live and work in Treaty 4 territory- the traditional land of the Saulteaux, Cree, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis People.

I approach working with people in a holistic, client-centered manner with a belief in the innate power of healing that lies within each of us. I utilize a variety of approaches depending on the situation. These strategies include Somatic Experiencing, expressive therapies, solution-focused, imagery, and cognitive-behavioral.

I am specialized in working with children and youth, utilizing expressive therapies such as sand, puppets and art. I have taken part in numerous workshops to develop these skills at the Center for Expressive Therapies in Parksville, B.C.

I completed the three-year training in Somatic Experiencing, a psychobiological method for resolving trauma symptoms and relieving chronic stress. This training, which acknowledges the body as essential in healing, informs my work with all clients.

I also have experience in working with grief, including traumatic grief and delayed grief. I was employed as a Bereavement Counsellor at Greystone Bereavement Centre for five years.
